Till We Meet Again

Till We Meet Again

Without you I could not have been the one who I was expected to be when
All you had to do is show me that I was the love in your life

As I try to learn to live without your friendship that I have grown accustomed too
I feel a great emptiness inside that is swelling more and more each day from this void
I have inside that use to be where your love use to fill

While the time passes, every second seems like an hour and every hour seems like a day
As I walk aimlessly through the places we always felt happiest when we just needed to
Be there for each other at the end of everyday

Now that you are gone I wish I was there with you to guide you and be beside you
Until you get to where you were are going now even though you have to do it alone
And my only conciliation is that we will be together again somewhere someday
With you there to guide me to where we can be together again

Walking in the Cold Winter Wind

Walking in the Cold Winter Wind

In the pre-dawn hours as the cold winter wind blows at you with the fierceness
That feels like it goes right threw you as you are walking your morning walk, and it
Feels like you just can’t get warm

As you start to shiver all you want to do is go home and curl up into a ball with a comforter
All around you to keep warm inside but yet you keep walking

As you walk, you keep telling yourself I need to keep walking and you start walking faster
And faster until you’re almost jogging you then notice that even with the cold winter wind biting
At you, you start warming up enough not to be intimidated by that wind

While you are walking you realize that the wind is driving you to keep warm makes you even
More determined to walk that much faster and as you realize this you are surprised by
The fact that you never even noticed that you are where you wanted to be and the walk is
Now a memory

the mornings walk in the change of season (summer to fall)

The mornings walk in the change of season
(Summer to fall)

Walking in the early morning when the weather just starts its seasonal change
You notice the subtle changes to the breeze that feels invigorating yet relaxing as
You walk through the early morning just hinting at the first light of day

As you take your walk each morning you start noticing other subtle changes to the
Plants and the habits of the creatures of the early morning while taking notice
Of the simple fact that the early morning breeze is now a slightly cool wind

As the days go by those subtle changes to the plants turn into the leaves of the trees
Turning magnificent colors fueled by the nightly dips of temps while having less sun
Light for them to take in and as they fall off of the trees you notice that it
The breeze turned into a wind that rustles the leaves of the trees with blowing off the leaves that
Is ready to come off

You also notice that the animals that only come out during the morning darkness just before the first hint of morning light are scurrying around to find a place to hide out and to find a safe
Place to sleep. As they notice that you are there, they scurry back into where they came from
Waiting for you to pass on you morning walk

When the change of season is in full swing you notice that the animals that once were tucked away
In their hiding spots when the weather was warmer and the sun was brighter at that time of day
Are now out and about doing their own thing unbothered by you as long as you don’t get
Too close, you get to see them as they act naturally and you get to see animals you would not
Otherwise get to see during any other time of the day

As the change of season comes to a close that subtle breeze is now a cold wind letting you know
That winter is on its way

The early morning walk

The Early Morning Walk

As you walk in the early morning while you are watching the first light
Of dawn you almost start meandering while in the quiet reflection of
Days gone by

While looking out at the mountain tops you look at them like it was your first
Time seeing them and they mesmerize you almost into a trance from
The sheer beauty of them

As the sun slowly rises you can see its reflection on the homes scattered across
The mountainside and ponder how beautifully quiet it must be there

As the sun gives the first light of day you see the early morning mist that leaves
The dew drops on the leaves you feel when you rustle them and the grass
That you walk on

As you walk by and feel the dew on the leaves you start thinking that, that little
Bit felt great while you are taking in the cool refreshing feeling that those
Dew filled leaves gives you on your bare skin

You start reflecting on how much fun it was in those days gone by to be
Watching the sun come up when you had nothing else to do but relax and
Enjoy your free time

When you’re almost done with your early morning walk you can see the sun rise even
Higher allowing you to see the beauty of the mountainside with the homes
That dot them and you wish that you had that scene as your back yard
