On the Mountain top

On the Mountain Top
On the mountain top as you are waking you can see the early morning fog settling
In that will become the morning dew

On the mountain top the air smells so fresh and clean that you cannot help but feel refreshed
And energized by it

On the mountain top you feel like you are on top of the world with the view that reaches for
Miles upon miles that seem endless

On the mountain top you can see the fields and meadows for which you can watch the
Animals roam in without having to worry about spooking them

On the mountain top as the afternoon fades into dusk, you see the small wispy clouds that are
A deep pink against the deepening blue sky, they look so close that they look almost
Close enough to reach out and touch them

On the mountain top you take stock in the beauty of all the landscapes you can see around
You on the mountains and the tranquility that being up there provides

On the mountain top as the night sets in you see the stars come out with far more brilliance than
You could have ever imagined anywhere else giving you an endless beauty to look at

On the mountain top as you get ready to settle down you can see the flickering lights of the homes
In the distance come on one by one and in a rhythmic dance

On the mountain top as you are laying there waiting for the slumber to come you feel
Contentment with the subtle noises coming out of the darkness that sounds like a lullaby long
Since forgotten and the brisk night air relaxes you helping to lull you to your nightly slumber
That awaits you after a beautiful day on the mountain top

The Beautiful Sky

As you venture out you see the morning dew as it collects from the morning fogthat is near by but yet looks so far away as it tapers off into the distance
With every step you take you cannot help but marvel at the beauty of the sunrise
from behind the mountain tops wich casts shadows on to the few clouds in the sky while
giving them a pink background
The further you walk, you find that the pink slowly becomesa deep red which turns into
an almost lavender purple which then fades to a most beautiful shade of blue
for a moment looking a baby blue before settling with the richness of the blue that
that is a powdered royal blue

Angel of Love

Angel of Love

As you’re lying in your bed with the day’s events running through your head,
You wonder how you were so blessed to have a person beside you who
You consider an angel from heaven, who constantly blesses you with love,
A love that you consider a god send, which is the brightest part of your life even
When you feel that you don’t deserve to be there with them loving you so faithfully

As time goes by you learn that you will be blessed with an out pouring of love that
You feel like all you can do is give thanks that your angel found you and
That your angel reminds you of a beautiful water fountain or of a majestic
Waterfall that has a double rainbow in its spray as it cascades down to a waiting
Pool that settles becoming so pristine that it’s like a mirror reflecting the
Beauty right back

old man winters fun

As old man winter sets up ans shows you the worst he can give,
he makes you wish it would just end tomorrow even
though he has done his best to make all of his fury enchantingly
beautiful with the splendor of each snowflake floating
down looking like it is but a single solitary feather falling on
a beautifully calm windless day
as the enchanting beauty fades with the last snowflake falling
you go to do your daily errands and you find that old
man winter is now laughing at you for admiring his attempt at
creating a false sense of calm at the height of winter by
now letting loose the west winds that are the coldest of the
winds that he has to play with
He does it so well that long after you have gone home
to sit by the warmest of fires you still have a chill
a chill that goes right to the bone giving you a chill right
up your back making you shiver as if you were cold
As January roles around old man winter shows you how
much he likes to play games by making you think that
he has decided to lighten up by giving you a couple
days of warm weather that allows you to come out of that
little funk that you had been in only to hit you
even worse than he had before that by giving you
a little storm that he likes to call a blizzard

the beauty of a flower

The Beauty of a Flower

The beauty of a flower can be as simplistic as the single petal of the water lily or the
Complexly designed pattern of the stargazer lily

The beauty of a flower can be seen in the miniature rose where you can barely see
The intricate definition of each petal that appear to blend together from the
Color and the smallness of the petals, or it can be like the biggest of roses that has a dizzying array
Of petals accentuated by colors that appear to have lots of contrast yet be complementary
To each other as well

The beauty of a flower can be in seeing a field of pansies that looks like a sea of colors or it can be seen in the small patch of daisies that are blowing in the wind

The beauty of a flower can be smelled floating in the gentle spring breezes or when you take the
Time to stop and smell your favorite types of flowers

The beauty of a flower can be in the tiniest of flowers that seems to stand out or it can be
The sheer number of small flowers that appear to cover the wiry plant on the side of the road

The real beauty of a flower is in its strength that comes through in times of adversity where
You think that it can not be hardy enough to thrive but yet it thrives enough to allow
It to bloom and it becomes the most beautiful flower

autumn

Autumn

The subtle changes let us know that one of the most beautiful times of year is coming.
When you realize that those subtle changes have come, you look around in awe from the beauty
If the changing of the leaves and from the shadows of the trees that now appear larger as they come to life from the wind causing them to dance around and from the rustling leaves.

As the foliage heightens the leaves sound like music in the wind after the long shadows have come to pass, when it rains it feels ever more refreshing with the stillness in the air that almost feels
Electric yet cool without the briskness of winter as the rain hits the leaves which are already turning, it almost sound like a soft drum beat.

As the leaves turn and eventually fall as they must the wind picks them up and plays with them in doing so sweeps them away into the unknown abyss that they seem to find in their travels. As they go they almost seem to talk to you in a rhythm reminiscent of a fond memory that had long been forgotten.

After the leaves have all gone and the trees are bare, you notice in the twilight that the branches seem like out stretched hands and arms in the shadows that they create in the setting sun that is given even more character by the sounds of the night especially by the grand old owl who
Sounds like he is calling out to you asking you who and wishing a good night even though you know he is just hooting.

In the predawn morning as you are waking and getting ready for your day you hear that grand old owl once again wishing you a good day as he is tucking himself in for his daily sleep, and it seems to echo from all around now that trees no longer have their leaves. As you leave in the first light of day those same shadows that you seen the night before are there so see you off only this time a little smaller and a little less imposing.

Over time you notice a sweet scent in the air that comes with the coolness that seems to fade
As the coolness brings on the briskness of winter and as you notice the weather changing you wish that this time of year would never end as you realize the your favorite time of year has come to greet you.

As autumn finally sets in you know that it will come to pass long before you are ready for
It to go and long for it to stay well past its turn.

Beauty is

Beauty is never in the eyes of the beholder, it is
In those small things of the everyday

Beauty is the cool breeze on a hot day that comes
Softly through the field or trees

Beauty is seeing the deer walking along where the field meets
The trees just before dawn or at dusk

Beauty is looking up at the clear sky at night and
Seeing the moon and stars

Beauty is hearing the song birds singing in the trees
At dawns first light welcoming the new day

Beauty is seeing the children play contently with
By themselves or with other children

Beauty is taking the time to relax and take in the
Small things after a hard days work

Beauty is first looking at the flowers and then taking the
Time to take in all of the different scents of the flowers

Beauty is the babbling brook or the waterfall that
Glistens in the morning or evening sun

Beauty is when you see the animals quietly going about their
Business in the spring with the new generation

Beauty is seeing the dawn of the new day as the sun comes
Through a lightly cloudy sky

Beauty is taking the time to see the shades of pink of a lightly cloudy
Sky at the End of a long day

Beauty is being with the people who you love and that
Love you as you love them
