In times where things are as we would like them we never forget our struggles
In times where we go on with our day to day lives we get complacent to the point we
take what we have for granted and think that we no longer have to struggle
In our complacency we tend not to see other peoples struggles
It is not until our own lives are upended that we remember our own struggles and get mad
at ourselves for having allowed ourselves to forget our own pain
It is not until our own lives are upended that we remember the help we got in our struggles and those who where there for us during those struggles
Only during our own struggles to we fully realize that we are not only measured by our own struggles but also measured by what we can do for and how we treat others who can do nothing for you where that is only when we can truly understand the struggles of others

Tribulations and Questions
Tribulations and Questions
As life’s tribulations weigh on you mind and the questions show in your eyes
You can’t help but feel lost or alone
As the people who know you, see you with your heavy burden, they start wondering
If you’ll be ok and show you that they will be beside you all the way
As they come to your side you can’t help but cry those happy tears showing everyone
That you care that they are there to be beside you and to guide you all the way
And as time turns the page you feel the weight being lifted off of your shoulders
And the questions fading only to become a distant memory which is all but forgotten
And as life’s tribulations and the questions in your eyes are but fleeting memories
You find that you have one question left which is how to show your gratitude
Even when your friends are telling you only a simple thank you is needed
As life’s tribulations weigh on you mind and the questions show in your eyes
You can’t help but feel lost or alone
As the people who know you, see you with your heavy burden, they start wondering
If you’ll be ok and show you that they will be beside you all the way

the beauty of a flower
The Beauty of a Flower
The beauty of a flower can be as simplistic as the single petal of the water lily or the
Complexly designed pattern of the stargazer lily
The beauty of a flower can be seen in the miniature rose where you can barely see
The intricate definition of each petal that appear to blend together from the
Color and the smallness of the petals, or it can be like the biggest of roses that has a dizzying array
Of petals accentuated by colors that appear to have lots of contrast yet be complementary
To each other as well
The beauty of a flower can be in seeing a field of pansies that looks like a sea of colors or it can be seen in the small patch of daisies that are blowing in the wind
The beauty of a flower can be smelled floating in the gentle spring breezes or when you take the
Time to stop and smell your favorite types of flowers
The beauty of a flower can be in the tiniest of flowers that seems to stand out or it can be
The sheer number of small flowers that appear to cover the wiry plant on the side of the road
The real beauty of a flower is in its strength that comes through in times of adversity where
You think that it can not be hardy enough to thrive but yet it thrives enough to allow
It to bloom and it becomes the most beautiful flower

in times of adversity
In times of adversity
In times of adversity, we find out how well we stand up to the trials in life that test our faith in ourselves
In times of adversity, we find out who our real friends are and how loyal they are to our friendship
In times of adversity, we learn who we can trust, how much we trust them and how much they trust us
In times of adversity we learn to appreciate the quiet times that we cannot stand when we are young and inexperienced in life’s tests
In times of adversity, we learn how to reflect on the happier times of days gone by that never seemed to end
In times of adversity, we find out who we are and in the process finding out whether or not we are the type of person we need to be when we have to stand up for what we believe in
In times of real adversity, each person is the rose that blooms against all odd who’s bloom is the best in the bunch
